Q: Who can attend the session?
Sessions are soley with the individual unless they request otherwise. Spouses, family members, partners, children etc. will be authorized to attend the appointment on a case by case bases. (Note: This usually occurs at the request of the counselor or provider in order to get a better insight for future treatment plans and changes)
Q: Why is visiting a mental health specialist so important?
Not all mental health conditions require medication and extensive treatment plans. Approximately 1 in 5 adults deal with some extent of a mental health crisis or issue on a regular basis. It is actually more common than people think. Getting a mental health check up should be just as prioritized as an annual physical with your local physician.

Q: How long is a typical appointment?
Initial medication management appointments take approximately 1 hour. Follow-up medication management appointments can range from 20-30 minutes. Initial and subsequent counseling appointments may take up to an hour.
